FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jennings Introduces a New Class of Capacitors Capable
of over 2 1/2 Million Life Cycles!
SAN JOSE, CA - February 12, 2001-
A new line of capacitors was set into production at the Jennings manufacturing
plant today. The PV-4 and PV-5 family are the latest innovations to
emerge from Jennings Technology and set a new standard for vacuum variable
capacitors.
The PV family is ideal for applications in Semiconductor, Airborne,
Broadcast, and Medical industries. Reduced torque, combined with a high
efficiency drive thread yields a more reliable product, capable of over
2 1/2 million life cycles! A high current conduction path allows for
optimized electrical and thermal carrying capabilities.
Each capacitor features compact, rugged housing allowing for superior
resistance against shock and vibration, withstanding 100 G of shock
at a shift of less than 5%. In the 15kV and below class of vacuum capacitors,
the PV models have the highest rated current values on the market, reaching
180 AMPS at 13.5 MHz. In addition, the PV's have a peak working voltage
of 3kV and a peak testing voltage of 5kV.
The PV 4 - 500, 1000, 2000 and PV 5- 1000 series offer versatility,
reliability and quality enclosed in one product. Please visit our web
site at http://www.jenningstech.com, to find specification and data
sheets on these and other Jennings' products.
We are proud to announce that Richardson will stock Jennings' PV model
capacitors in their inventory. Please reference Richardson Electronics
